Bold powerful dry red wine. Very intense peony red colour with ruby edge and thick tears. Aroma that slowly builds up in contact with oxygen; first discreetly, later exuberantly with plums and black currants up front, dried herbs and black pepper. The texture is based on firm tannins, alcohol and ripe acids. Balanced evolution with a long grape aftertaste of prepared black fruit and humus. Loves solid company at the table, such as aged beef or wild game like roe and hare. Also braised root vegetables with wild rice and Parmigiano. Serving temperature: 16°C, after an hour in the carafe.
