Gracious naturally made world class potent red wine. Extremely limited production of several hundred bottles from the Briccolina vineyard. Fairly light garnet color with firm tears. Earthy nose with wild red berries, undergrowth, wild mushrooms, licorice, cloves, black pepper, cocoa and cedar. Taste of exceptional complexity in which power and finesse constantly alternate, compact attack with strong tannins in its youth, striking acids that integrate slowly, finesse-rich texture supported by the wild berries and spices in the long finish. A very distinguished experience in its own right, also an excellent partner for roast poultry, risotto with black truffle, braised vegetable mix with southern herbs, and even goes remarkably well with river fish such as pike and eel. Recommended to decanter a few hours in advance until 20 years after harvest year. Serving temperature: 17°C
Enrico Rivetto is a winemaker, basketball fan, and free spirit who lives and works in Lirano, a biodynamic garden in the Langa of Barolo, situated between the hills of Sinio and Serralunga d'Alba. He cultivates vineyards, fruit trees, herbs, and grains, driven by his strong belief in the magical quality of wine, which he sees as a medium for communication and expression.
Enrico is passionate about sharing his new perspective on land cultivation, emphasizing the true beauty and harmony of nature. Lirano is described as a magnetic hill, a place where contrasting natural forces intersect yet remain in balance. Positioned between Alta Langa and the Barolo hills, Lirano spans a ridge between Sinio and Serralunga d'Alba, surrounded by forests and vineyards, nestled between the Alps and the Ligurian Sea.
