Graceful naturally made full-bodied red wine of world class. Relatively light garnet red with solid tears. Earthy nose attack with wild red berries, brushwood, forest mushrooms, liquorice, clove, black pepper, cocoa and cedar. Taste of exceptional complexity in which power and finesse constantly alternate. Compact attack with strong tannins in its youth, striking acidity that slowly integrates. Texture with lots of finesse with the support of wild berries and herbs in the long aftertaste. Highly sophisticated wine to enjoy as a delight on its own; also a perfect companion with roasted fowl, risotto with black truffle, braised vegetables with Mediterranean herbs. Goes also remarkably well with river fish such as perch and eel. Till 10 years decant several hours in advance. Serving temperature: 17°C
Enrico Rivetto is a winemaker, basketball fan, and free spirit who lives and works in Lirano, a biodynamic garden in the Langa of Barolo, situated between the hills of Sinio and Serralunga d'Alba. He cultivates vineyards, fruit trees, herbs, and grains, driven by his strong belief in the magical quality of wine, which he sees as a medium for communication and expression.
Enrico is passionate about sharing his new perspective on land cultivation, emphasizing the true beauty and harmony of nature. Lirano is described as a magnetic hill, a place where contrasting natural forces intersect yet remain in balance. Positioned between Alta Langa and the Barolo hills, Lirano spans a ridge between Sinio and Serralunga d'Alba, surrounded by forests and vineyards, nestled between the Alps and the Ligurian Sea.
