Full-bodied powerful red wine with deep peony-red colour and thick tears. Intense overwhelming nose full of black berries and ditto roses, violets, plums and cassis syrup, evolution into oriental spices and black pepper. Clenched wine with solid character and mouth-filling tannins, meaty with lots of everything brought together into perfect balance. Begs for like-minded dishes, lacquered red meat, grilled game fillet, confit of fruit vegetables with truffle and risotto rice, blue cheese. Decant a few hours in advance in a wide carafe. Serving temperature: 16°C.
